That\u2019s the reality Papoose described while speaking with trainer and podcast host\u00a0David ‘Flat’ Sparks on MRECK TV’s<\/a>Let The Sparkz Fly, offering a rare look at what it takes to support Claressa Shields during her intense training camps.<\/p>\n

When Sparks asked how different it is for a man to be in a relationship with a woman fighter, Papoose didn\u2019t hesitate to explain that many of the same sacrifices apply \u2014 especially when a fight is approaching.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got a lot of discipline,\u201d Papoose said. \u201cYou can\u2019t eat. Damn sure can\u2019t have sex. It\u2019s tough, bro. It\u2019s tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rapper emphasized that boxing camps demand full commitment from everyone involved, not just the athlete preparing to step into the ring. According to Papoose, Shields\u2019 focus doesn\u2019t waver once camp begins, and her routine reflects the habits of the sport\u2019s all-time greats.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s very self-motivated,\u201d he said. \u201cI wake up in the morning sometimes, she gone. She outside running. We come in after the club \u2014 she running again.\u201d<\/p>\n

That level of consistency, he explained, makes his role easier, even if the lifestyle itself is demanding. Shields\u2019 discipline also extends beyond workouts, including strict rules around food and recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnybody better be careful bringing junk food around,\u201d Papoose joked. \u201cShe going to tell you, \u2018I\u2019m disciplined. I got to eat this.\u2019\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

While the sacrifices can be challenging, Papoose framed them as part of the shared experience of chasing greatness.<\/p>\n
