National"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tDescrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tIncrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/canadian-food-inspection-agency\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canadian Food Inspection Agency<\/a> has suspended the licence of Montreal-based meal kit and grocery delivery service <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/goodfood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Goodfood<\/a>, the agency said in a statement Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1765485674_689_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The CIFA suspended Goodfood Market Corp\u2019s facility in Saint-Laurent, Quebec on Tuesday, but added that there are no recalls associated with the suspension of the licence.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension has to do with Part Four of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/cfia\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CFIA<\/a> said, which pertains to \u201cpreventative controls,\u201d or measures that control risks to food.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the company told Global News that the suspension relates mostly to procedural issues.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-video__image\" alt=\"Click to play video: 'Iranian pistachios recalled due to salmonella risk, CFIA confirms'\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/pistachios.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"   data-\/><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t0:41<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIranian pistachios recalled due to salmonella risk, CFIA confirms\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The suspension will be lifted \u201cwhen it is determined that corrective measures have been taken by the licence holder,\u201d CFIA said, adding that if corrective measures are not taken the licence may be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Goodfood was \u201cdisappointed\u201d by CFIA\u2019s decision, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/healthiq.jpg\" alt=\"Receive the latest medical news and health information delivered to you every Sunday.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tGet weekly health news<\/p>\n<p>Receive the latest medical news and health information delivered to you every Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers can be confident that our products are safe and meet high standards of safety;
