\n Libya is one of Africa\u2019s top oil producers, consistently ranking second only to Nigeria <\/a>in output while holding the continent\u2019s largest proven reserves, estimated at 48\u201350 billion barrels.\n <\/p>\n

\n In stable periods, the country produces roughly 1.2\u20131.6 million barrels per day and, as an OPEC member, plays a key role in global supply management despite ongoing political and security challenges.\n <\/p>\n

\n NOC Chairman Masoud Sulieman Mousa credited the performance to the resilience of Libya\u2019s oil workforce and the corporation\u2019s strategic focus on recovery and efficiency improvements.\n <\/p>\n

\n He said the results \u201creflect continuous work under complex circumstances and confirm the Libyan oil sector\u2019s ability to recover whenever the will and support are present.\u201d He also praised workers across oilfields, ports, and technical departments, describing them as \u201cthe architects of these results.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n However, analysts warn the recovery remains fragile. Libya\u2019s oil output has historically been vulnerable to political disputes, militia blockades, and sudden shutdowns linked to rival power centres.\n <\/p>\n

\n Sustaining higher production levels, observers say, will require stronger governance, clearer revenue management, and durable security arrangements around critical energy infrastructure.\n <\/p>\n
