As of Thursday morning, Friesen has been transferred to a level one trauma center in New York.<\/p>\n<p>All signs point towards Friesen not racing for the remainder of this season so what about his playoff spot?<\/p>\n<p>On his official NASCAR sanctioned <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/1VbsSCqMvE7DIlUcU51zbs?si=7b55919c33614537&amp;nd=1&amp;dlsi=9294b63ce0f9495c\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Hauler Talk podcast;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Hauler Talk podcast<\/a>, series communications official Mike Forde first offered well wishes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t be happier that Stewart is somewhat okay,\u201d Forde said. \u201cThat was a very scary wreck and lots of injuries there as he announced on social media on Tuesday morning. So wish him absolutely the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Kurt Busch had won his way into the Cup Series playoffs in 2022 but missed the remainder of that season due to a crash and concussion suffered at Pocono later that summer. It ultimately ended his career.<\/p>\n<p>Busch withdrew his name from playoff consideration, opening a spot for those still racing throughout the summer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is kind of the baseline we\u2019re working with here in the Stewart Friesen discussion,\u201d Forde said. \u201cObviously, very early in the process.
