Scott Wedgewood stopped 25 of 28 shots to earn his 17th win of the season. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The win gives Colorado their 10th straight victory, dating back to Dec. 11. It\u2019s their second double-digit winning streak of the 2025-26 campaign, their first one coming between Nov. 4 and 26, where they also won 10 straight. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">The Avalanche are now <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/news\/teams\/standings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">31-2-7 with 69 points<\/a> through 40 games. They lead the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/news\/teams\/standings\/2025\/division\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Central Division<\/a>, <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/news\/teams\/standings\/2025\/conference\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Western Conference<\/a> and the <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/news\/teams\/standings\/2025\/league\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">entire National Hockey League<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">They now have the second-highest point total for a team through the first half of the season, trailing only the 1929-30 <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/teams\/boston-bruins\/line-combinations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Bruins<\/a>, who were 35-4-1 with 71 points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg\">MacKinnon has <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/players\/stats\/skaters\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">35 goals and 39 assists for 74 points<\/a>, leading the NHL in goals and points through the first half of 2025-26. Forward Martin Necas has 19 goals and 34 assists for 53 points, while Cale Makar has <a class=\"text-secondary underline underline-offset-2\" hreflang=\"en\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfaceoff.com\/players\/stats\/skaters\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">12 goals and 35 assists for 47 points<\/a>.
