The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a> star, 66, revealed to PEOPLE at QVC\u2019s recent Holiday House pop-up in New York City that as a grandmother, she\u2019s making sure to carry the family\u2019s tradition of holiday charity work on to the next generation.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s a tradition, and they’re also learning too,\u201d Kathy shared. \u201cWe do several toy drives, and I did a big pajama party, which my daughter Nicky<\/a> and I do every year. And we give a percentage of the pajamas to Children’s Hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Kathy noted that it\u2019s not always easy, especially when it comes to teaching the newer additions to the family. She said she is still educating her daughter Paris<\/a>‘ children<\/a>, Phoenix and London, both 2, about giving back.<\/p>\n Paris Hilton\/Instagram<\/p>\n Paris Hilton and her children Phoenix and London<\/p>\n “We’ll be doing something for downtown for the mission, L.A. Mission, and we collect toys. And Paris’ two little ones came in the other day, and they [saw] all these unwrapped toys. They’re very polite, but they’re kind of going like, \u2018Are these for us?\u2019 \u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I explained to them,\u201d she continued. \u201cI don’t think they understood, but [I said], \u2018No, they’re not for you. These are for other children who are in the hospital or not as fortunate.\u2019 “<\/p>\n The businesswoman went on to say that her grandchildren were \u201cvery well-behaved\u201d and \u201cdidn\u2019t touch\u201d the toys after she told them what they were for, but said that the \u201cteaching\u201d moment was important as one day they will also help out.<\/p>\n “And then we go down \u2014 once they get a little older, we take them down with us, and we visit with the homeless,\u201d Kathy said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s really heartwarming,\u201d she continued of the event. \u201cWe set up for the children to come in and buy for the parents, and then we set up another room for the parents to come in and shop for the children. So we’re like elves [setting up gifts], and my girls, my boys, my husband, we love it.\u201d<\/p>\n Tommaso Boddi\/Getty<\/p>\n Kathy Hilton<\/p>\n During the holidays, Kathy, her husband, Richard (Rick) Hilton<\/a>, and their kids \u2014 Nicky,\u00a0Paris, Barron<\/a> and Conrad<\/a> \u2014 often take part in multiple charities during the holidays to give back to the community.
