DETROIT — Right-hander Woo-Suk Go, who joined the Detroit Tigers organization last summer and finished the season with Triple-A Toledo, has re-signed on a minor-league deal for 2026. <\/p>\n

Go, 27, was a dominant closer in the Korea Baseball Organization and received permission to negotiate with MLB teams following the 2023 season. He signed a two-year, $4.5 million deal with the San Diego Padres but was traded four months later to the Marlins in the Luis Arraez deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Miami removed Go from the 40-man roster in 2024 and then released him last June. He quickly signed a minor-league deal with the Tigers<\/a> and pitched in 14 games for the Mud Hens, striking out 22 and walking 11 in 21 innings. <\/p>\n

Although he has struggled across several stops since coming to the U.S., Go\u2019s original scouting report highlighted a strong reliever profile, with a mid-90s fastball and a plus slider.<\/p>\n
