article font size<\/p>\n<p>A pollster says separatist movements in <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/alberta\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alberta<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/quebec\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Quebec<\/a> are unlikely to succeed as long as Canadians feel a persistent sense of insecurity and anxiety about the future.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/d21y75miwcfqoq.cloudfront.net\/70c8fc80\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>David Coletto, whose polling firm Abacus Data has been studying what it calls the \u201cprecarity mindset\u201d in Canada for the last year, day.<\/p>\n<p>Alberta\u2019s election agency recently announced it has approved a proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/referendum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">referendum<\/a> question on the province separating from Canada, meaning the question could be put to Albertans in a referendum if organizers collect enough signatures.<\/p>\n<p>In Quebec, Parti Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon is promising to hold a referendum on sovereignty during his first term if the party wins the general election scheduled for Oct. 5,
