SOPHIE TURNER PREPARES FOR LARA CROFT IN LIVE-ACTION TOMB RAIDER SERIES<\/p>\n

Sophie Turner has told<\/a> ScreenRant that she has been training for almost a year in preparation for her upcoming role as Lara Croft in Amazon MGM’s live-action Tomb Raider series. Turner will join Hollywood icons Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs in the video game adaptation, with production scheduled to begin in January 2026.<\/p>\n

“I can’t say much, but my preparation began in February this year (2025). I’ve been training for a long time now, coming up on a year, and we’re going to start shooting in January. I’m really excited, but I feel prepped, and I feel really lucky to have such a great relationship with Amazon, and I’m excited for the world to see what we do with Lara and Tomb Raider. I think it’s going to be something special,” Sophie Turner tells<\/a> ScreenRant.<\/p>\n

Plans for a live-action Tomb Raider series were announced by Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics in May 2024. The series will be executive produced by Crystal Dynamics, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Productions; Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson via Story Kitchen; alongside Michael Scheel and Legendary Television.<\/p>\n
