\u201cLate Night\u201d host Seth Meyers on Thursday ridiculed Donald Trump<\/a> over a baffling exchange when the president appeared to completely misunderstand a reporter\u2019s question.<\/p>\n

Meyers aired a clip in which Trump was asked about unverified and contested reports<\/a> that FBI<\/a> Director Kash Patel had \u201cfound burn bags of Russiagate materials,\u201d Trump, seemingly confused, replied, \u201cHe said what?\u201d<\/p>\n

After the reporter repeated, \u201cBurn bags of Russiagate materials,\u201d Trump responded, \u201cI don\u2019t know what you mean by that statement.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the reporter clarified again, Trump replied, \u201cOh, I thought you said appointed a man called Burn Bag. Go ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, dude. Don\u2019t admit that!\u201d he said. \u201cJust say, \u2018I couldn\u2019t hear you.\u2019 Don\u2019t tell the world you were off by a country mile.\u201d<\/p>\n

The host then impersonated Trump: \u201c\u2018Oh, I thought you were saying the name of a person who has never existed on Earth.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
