The Boston Red Sox have been one of the most aggressive teams this offseason, and they continue to pursue another bat for their lineup.<\/p>\n
Craig Breslow has already noted<\/a> that the Red Sox want to add another impact bat to their lineup. He called it a priority, and Alex Bregman is reportedly their top choice<\/a> to fill that need.<\/p>\n According to ESPN\u2019s Buster Olney, during an appearance on \u201cFirst Up with Korolnek & Colaiacovo\u201d on Friday<\/a>, the Red Sox have made an \u201caggressive offer\u201d to Bregman.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that Alex Bregman is going to go back to the Red Sox,\u201d Olney said. \u201cFrom what I understand, the Red Sox have made an aggressive offer on him. They valued him last summer.\u201d<\/p>\n Bregman was named an All-Star for the third time in his career last season. After posting a .795 OPS in the last five seasons, he had an .821 OPS last season.
