Prepare to get all up in your feelings, metal gatekeepers \u2014 there\u2019s Babymetal news making the rounds. Earlier today, the kawaii-core band released a newly re-recorded version of their track \u201cHeadbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!\u201d for its 15th anniversary. It\u2019s kinda wild to think this band\u2019s been making metal \u201cpurists\u201d piss their britches for that long, but time\u2019s unrelenting march stops for no one.<\/p>\n
This new version is an updated take on the oritinal track from 2011. With its release, the band said this new version was made to commemorate \u201cthe 15th anniversary of its formation.\u201d Fans of the band will note that while it\u2019s still maintained its overall pace and energy, the band infused the growls from the band\u2019s newest member Momometal.<\/p>\n
In addition to the new track, the band dropped a new music video for \u201cHeadbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!\u201d to boot. It\u2019s got The Ring vibes, only this time it\u2019s in an abandoned arcade instead of some person\u2019s living room. The band is also releasing an \u201cultra-limited\u201d 15th anniversary CD featuring the new track.<\/p>\n
The CD will be available in limited quantities beginning this Wednesday, January 7, at the \u201cBABYMETAL FIRST EVER POP-UP IN TOKYO\u201d event, held on the first floor of Shibuya Tsutaya in Tokyo. The CD will also be sold at the band\u2019s merch booths at upcoming special live performances, LEGEND \u2013 METAL FORTH, taking place January 10 and 11 at Saitama Super Arena.<\/p>\n
Anyone that buys the CD will get one of three postcards featuring the band members in the music video. There are rare \u2018The Chosen 15\u2019 variants, of which only 15 were made worldwide.
