The Hungaroring may not be the first track you think of in terms of a headline race each year, but this place has often played its part in some brilliant seasons.<\/p>\n
It hosted the first race that took place behind the \u201cIron Curtain,\u201d showing F1\u2019s previous drive for global expansion that has led it to where it is today. <\/p>\n
The circuit has been kind to a lot of different drivers with previous maiden wins for Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, as well as George Russell\u2019s first pole.<\/p>\n
Nestled in the small village of Mogyor\u00f3d, just over 20km (more than 12 miles) outside Budapest, the Hungaroring is known as \u201cMonaco without the walls\u201d and something of a go-kart track \u2014 that to me, if you rotate the map 90 degrees anticlockwise, will always look like a camel on a surfboard. <\/p>\n
