The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> are coming off a fantastic season where they made it all the way to the World Series. Unfortunately, they would be bested by the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> in a thrilling seven-game series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite coming off a World Series appearance, the club is not settling. They have come out as one of the most aggressive teams this offseason so far.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They have made multiple free agent signings to help shore up the starting rotation, bullpen, and some holes around the offense. So, do not be surprised if the club picks up right where they left off in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

MLB insider ranks Blue Jays as 3rd ‘most-improved’ club following aggressive winter\u00a0<\/p>\n

There have only been a few teams to either match or surpass just how aggressive the team up North has been so far this offseason. The Baltimore Orioles<\/a> could be listed here, and so could the Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Athletic’s Jim Bowden<\/a> puts those two teams ahead of Toronto and has listed the Blue Jays as the 3rd most-improved team so far this winter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The defending AL champions have been clear they are not going to rest on their laurels, as they’ve been very aggressive this offseason.”<\/p>\n

Toronto made its first big splash of the offseason when it reached a deal with Dylan Cease to headline the rotation on a seven-year, $210 million deal, but that was not all.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shane Bieber exercised his player option to return, and they also signed Cody Ponce to a three-year, $30 million deal while adding Tyler Rogers to the bullpen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Offensively, Toronto’s key addition came in a deal with Kazuma Okatmoto. He should be a power presence that should help stabilize the lineup after coming off a season in Japan where he maintained a .322 batting average with 15 homers.<\/p>\n
