Aldergrove Youth Soccer Club (AYSC) is opening spring registration as it explores how the community club can better support players, coaches, and families.

Spring 2026 registration is now open for the season running from the week of March 30 to the week of June 8. The club will offer recreational soccer, LUSA Interlock, and its invitation-only Cascadia League program, depending on age and experience.

The club is also hosting coaching education courses in February, with costs covered by the club.

Cameron Ward, the club’s technical development lead, said his role focuses on building structure and consistency across age groups. “I build curriculum and communicate with different coordinators of each age group and try and get them to align with the player pathway progress from U5 to our oldest team, which is U16,” Ward said.

Ward said continued education is important, especially for volunteer coaches. “Playing and coaching is a lot different, especially coaching to children,” he said.

He said the club is in a period of transition, working toward clearer communication and shared direction. “Being a small club, we haven’t had that much direct organization in terms of where everyone’s going,” he said. “We’re kind of just putting more blocks in place.” One change this year is earlier registration dates to give families more time to plan and prepare.

Ward emphasized that AYSC is meant to serve a wide range of players. “We are open to the more average player who’s looking to have fun and develop along the way.”

The club had about 500 registered players in the fall, a number Ward said has remained fairly steady.

Ward said the club hopes to “Give players an experience where they enjoy hanging out with the community.”

Aldergrove Youth Soccer Club prepares for spring Published 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2026 Aldergrove Youth Soccer Club…

[440
49,48,561,82
post-393223","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-soccer","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-soccer","tag-sports
["GET
