NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman<\/a> is offering government employees who do \u201cexceptional work\u201d flights aboard his privately-owned fighter jet, the space agency revealed Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Isaacman, a billionaire tech entrepreneur confirmed by the Senate last month to lead NASA, will also make his sleek plane \u2013 capable of supersonic flight \u2013 available for a slew of public events at no cost to taxpayers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdministrator Isaacman has an extensive background in aviation and has generously made his privately owned F-5 aircraft available for NASA workforce incentive flights, flyovers, participation in America\u2019s 250th birthday celebrations, and to inspire the next generation to take an interest in STEM fields and contribute to the greatest adventure in human history,\u201d NASA spokeswoman Bethany Stevens posted on<\/a> X.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAll costs associated with these flights are covered by the Administrator, with zero burden to the taxpayer,\u201d Stevens noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aside from offering up his jet, Isaacman is also donating his $221,900 annual salary to Space Camp \u2013 an educational summer camp in Huntsville, Ala. \u2013 and has committed to \u201censuring NASA delivers on its world-changing mission efficiently and with urgency,\u201d\u00a0 the agency spokeswoman said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo keep an eye out at rocket launches and Space Coast airshows. If you are an accomplished\u00a0[NASA] employee doing exceptional work, there will be opportunities ahead to take to the skies with the [NASA administrator],\u201d Stevens added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The spokeswoman\u2019s post included an image of Isaacman in the pilot\u2019s seat of a two-seater jet decked out with the NASA logo.\u00a0It\u2019s unclear if the aircraft is the one owned by\u00a0Isaacman. <\/p>\n

On Monday, Isaacman posted photos and videos on X of the president\u2019s son and daughter-in-law \u2014 Eric and Lara Trump \u2014 flying aboard a similar jet.<\/p>\n

Isaacman\u2019s nomination to lead NASA was pulled by President Trump last summer<\/a> \u2013 over apparent concerns about his political contributions to Democrats \u2013 but he was re-nominated in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n
