Kirkland Lake OPP\u00a0are responding to an incident involving a possibly armed individual in a contained location in the area of Prospect Avenue and Government Road in Kirkland Lake this afternoon.<\/p>\n
Residents in the immediate area are urged to shelter-in-place and adhere to the following safety precautions:<\/p>\n
\n\tIf you are outside, seek shelter immediately in a secure location
\n\tIf you are inside, remain there and lock all doors and windows
\n\tClose curtains or blinds to avoid drawing attention
\n\tFollow all instructions from officers on scene
<\/p>\n
Individuals not currently in the affected area are requested to avoid travelling there until further notice. An increased police presence can be expected while officers continue their response and investigation.<\/p>\n
