{"id":394619,"date":"2026-01-07T20:22:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T20:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/394619\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T20:22:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T20:22:10","slug":"nfl-reveals-most-watched-games-historic-viewership-for-2025-regular-season-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/394619\/","title":{"rendered":"NFL Reveals Most-Watched Games, Historic Viewership for 2025 Regular Season Schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The 2025 NFL regular season was one of the most viewed in league history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Games averaged 18.7 million viewers across television and digital, marking the league&#8217;s highest season-long average since 1989, the NFL announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">That average viewership also marked a 10 percent increase over the 2024 season, according to the NFL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The most-watched games this season both took place on Thanksgiving Day, according to the NFL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">A total of 105 million viewers watched the Kansas City Chiefs play the Dallas Cowboys, and the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions, that Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Outside of the holiday, the most-watched game took place when 33.8 million viewers tuned in to the Super Bowl LIX rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chiefs in Week 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The Chiefs were also featured in the other top-viewed games, a Week 9 matchup with the Buffalo Bills and Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The NFL will now hope to set more viewership records in the postseason despite the Chiefs missing out on the playoffs following Patrick Mahomes&#8217; season-ending injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Last year&#8217;s Super Bowl between the Eagles and Chiefs set an all-time record with a projected average audience of 126 million viewers, according to <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong css-lu48cp\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/10154371-eagles-win-vs-chiefs-sets-super-bowl-record-with-126m-viewers-most-in-nfl-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Fox Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The 2025 NFL regular season was one of the most viewed in league history.
