Hudson Williams<\/a> can measure Heated Rivalry<\/a>\u2019s impact by his inbox. In a clip for tomorrow\u2019s episode of Radio Andy on SiriusXM<\/a>, Williams said athletes who aren\u2019t out of the closet are showing love in the DMs. Williams says he\u2019s been contacted by \u201cpeople who reach out, somewhat anonymously, who are like, \u2018I\u2019m still a professional player still and I\u2019m still in the closet.\u2019\u201d And it\u2019s not just hockey. Williams says he\u2019s been contacted by pro athletes in hockey, basketball, and football.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re reaching out to Rachel [Reid], our author, who will then relay these lovely anonymous emails. Sometimes they\u2019re just reaching out privately, through like Instagram,\u201d Williams said. \u201cThose ones are the ones that really just hit you and go, \u2018Oh, so this is a fun show and it\u2019s celebratory, but also sometimes it\u2019s just hitting people right in the nerves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heated Rivalry is a success by any metric you want to use. Lives touched, ratings, or Carly Rae Jepsen<\/a>\u2019s interested in making music \u2014 the show is hitting all KPIs. After show creator Jacob Tierney said he\u2019d love for Jepsen to make a song for season 2, the Canadian pop princess followed the show\u2019s officially IG<\/a>. It\u2019s all happening.<\/p>\n
