A total of 11 teams are preparing to take to the grid in 2026, with Cadillac making their debut alongside the 10 already familiar squads. Here is the lowdown on the outfits that will be in action when the campaign kicks off\u2026<\/p>\n
McLaren<\/p>\n
Reigning Teams\u2019 Champions McLaren<\/a> return for their 61st season in Formula 1, with Lando Norris<\/a> and Oscar Piastri<\/a> entering into a fourth campaign as team mates while Andrea Stella<\/a> continues as Team Principal.<\/p>\n The Woking-based outfit are one of the most historic names in the sport. Founded by Bruce McLaren, the squad made their debut in 1966 and have since collected 203 wins, 13 Drivers\u2019 Championships and 10 Teams\u2019 Championships.<\/p>\n McLaren will be looking to continue their recent strong run of form into 2026, a year in which they will be aiming to score a third consecutive Teams\u2019 crown for the first time since 1990, while Norris is preparing to defend his maiden Drivers\u2019 title.<\/p>\n Mercedes<\/p>\n Another team with an impressive track record, Mercedes<\/a> are fielding the unchanged line-up of George Russell<\/a> and Kimi Antonelli<\/a> in 2026. Toto Wolff<\/a> remains at the head of the squad, a position he has held since 2013.<\/p>\n After acquiring the former Brawn GP outfit in 2010, the Silver Arrows soon worked their way to the front of the pack, going on to seal a record eight consecutive Teams\u2019 Championships between 2014 and 2021 as well as seven drivers\u2019 titles, six of which belonged to Lewis Hamilton.<\/p>\n While the team have not experienced quite the same level of success in recent years, their P2 in 2025 marked a promising upturn.<\/p>\n Red Bull<\/p>\n It will be season number 22 for Red Bull<\/a> in 2026, a campaign in which they will again have a new driver pairing.<\/p>\n Following their run of consecutive championships with Sebastian Vettel from 2010 to 2013, Max Verstappen<\/a> repeated this feat by claiming four Drivers\u2019 titles between 2021 and 2024. The Dutchman lost out to McLaren\u2019s Lando Norris in 2025, but can he fight back this time around?<\/p>\n Verstappen will be joined by a new team mate in the form of Isack Hadjar<\/a>, with the Frenchman making the step up from Racing Bulls to replace Yuki Tsunoda, while Laurent Mekies<\/a> starts a campaign as the outfit\u2019s Team Principal for the first time following his appointment last summer.<\/p>\n Ferrari<\/p>\n A name that needs little introduction, Ferrari<\/a> are the only team to have competed in every Formula 1 season since the championship began back in 1950.<\/p>\n The Scuderia have gone on to earn 15 Drivers\u2019 Championships and 16 teams\u2019 titles across the years, but their last were scored in 2007 and 2008 respectively.<\/p>\n Charles Leclerc<\/a> and Lewis Hamilton<\/a> continue on as the Italian outfit\u2019s pairing with Fred Vasseur<\/a> as Team Principal for 2026, a season in which the squad will be hoping for better after ending 2025 without a Grand Prix win and in fourth place of the Teams\u2019 standings.<\/p>\n Williams<\/p>\n Williams<\/a> return after a positive 2025 season, having claimed an assured P5 in the Teams\u2019 Championship as well as scoring two podiums courtesy of Carlos Sainz<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Grove-based outfit \u2013 led by James Vowles<\/a> since 2023 \u2013 are no strangers to success, with seven drivers\u2019 and nine teams\u2019 titles to their name across their long history in Formula 1.<\/p>\n Their fortunes took a dip during the late 2010s, but Williams will be hoping that their strong outing last season \u2013 coupled with the solid line-up of Sainz and Alex Albon<\/a> \u2013 helps them to take another step in 2026.<\/p>\n Racing Bulls<\/p>\n Another team with a slightly different line-up for 2026 is Racing Bulls<\/a>, as the Red Bull sister outfit prepare to field the only rookie amongst this year\u2019s grid.<\/p>\n After Red Bull\u2019s acquisition of the former Minardi team in 2006, the squad has since run under the guises of Toro Rosso, AlphaTauri and RB before their transition into Racing Bulls in 2025, achieving two victories \u2013 courtesy of Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly \u2013 along the way.<\/p>\n The incumbent Liam Lawson<\/a> is joined by Arvid Lindblad<\/a> in 2026, with the 18-year-old making the step up following a P6 finish in the 2025 Formula 2 Championship. Alan Permane<\/a>, meanwhile, continues on as Team Principal following his promotion from Racing Director last summer.<\/p>\n Aston Martin<\/p>\n Aston Martin<\/a> are another squad that will be hoping for progress in 2026, off the back of ending the 2025 season in seventh place.<\/p>\n Fortunes have varied for the former Racing Point team since taking on their current moniker in 2021, with the high of several podiums in 2023 followed by two tougher campaigns in the years since.<\/p>\n Fernando Alonso<\/a> and Lance Stroll<\/a> form an unchanged pairing in 2026, marking their fourth season as team mates, while the headline news in late 2025 was that Adrian Newey<\/a> will become Team Principal for the next campaign.<\/p>\n Haas<\/p>\n F1\u2019s newest team \u2013 prior to this year\u2019s addition (more on which later) \u2013 Haas<\/a> will embark on their 11th campaign in Formula 1 in 2026.<\/p>\n Across 214 Grands Prix so far, the American outfit\u2019s best race finish to date has been a P4, a record held by Romain Grosjean that was equalled by Ollie Bearman<\/a> at the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix.<\/p>\n Bearman is joined by Esteban Ocon<\/a> again this season, as Haas \u2013 headed by Team Principal Ayao Komatsu<\/a> \u2013 look to build on the positives after ending the last campaign in eighth.<\/p>\n Audi<\/p>\n The former Kick Sauber team will go under a different name in 2026 as the squad becomes Audi<\/a>\u2019s works outfit, a transition that coincides with the new wave of technical regulations being introduced into the sport.<\/p>\n Nico Hulkenberg<\/a> and Gabriel Bortoleto<\/a> move into their second season as team mates, following on from a year in which Hulkenberg memorably clinched a long-awaited debut podium at Silverstone. Jonathan Wheatley<\/a> acts as Team Principal, having joined earlier last year.<\/p>\n Kick Sauber finished the 2025 Teams\u2019 Championship in ninth \u2013 can they make progress under the Audi name in the campaign ahead?<\/p>\n Alpine<\/p>\n Alpine<\/a> \u2013 formerly known as Renault \u2013 faced a tricky 2025 season, ending the year at the bottom of the standings with a sizeable points deficit to their rivals.<\/p>\n The squad have taken one victory and six podiums under the Alpine name, with two of the latter scored by Pierre Gasly<\/a> who is set to embark on his fourth campaign with the team.<\/p>\n Gasly will again have Franco Colapinto<\/a> as his team mate in a season that will mark a new era for the outfit in that they will no longer produce their own power units, instead switching to Mercedes engines.
