Mullarkey steps in on short notice with Salkilld\u2019s originally scheduled opponent Rongzhu out for undisclosed reasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Salkilld was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/ufc\/463286\/mma-fightings-2025-breakthrough-fighter-of-the-year-joshua-van\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">one of the breakout fighters of 2025<\/a>, stringing together consecutive wins over Anshul Jubli, Yanal Ashmouz, and Nasrat Haqparast after being signed off of Dana White\u2019s Contender Series. The latter victory came via one of the most vicious knockouts of the year as Salkilld leveled Haqparast with a head kick that left the veteran unconscious on the canvas for a scary amount of time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Mullarkey, who also hails from Australia, won his lone bout of 2025 to snap a two-fight skid.
