Ramsay followed up to ask Holland how he\u2019d feel if he were to play 007. \u201cEvery young British actor, it\u2019s the pinnacle of working in our industry,\u201d Holland replied. \u201cI already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive. I could never have dreamed to have the career that I\u2019ve had.\u201d<\/p>\n So, does all this sound like the 29-year-old Tom Holland is the next James Bond? It sounds to me like he\u2019s right up there as a top candidate.<\/p>\n Certainly things are ramping up on Bond after Amazon assumed direct control of the franchise. Following confirmation that Dune director Denis Villeneuve will helm the next Bond film, we have confirmation that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will pen the script.<\/p>\n Speaking to BBC Radio 5<\/a> on Friday, Knight said: \u201cI\u2019m hoping that being a Bond fan for so many years, that will sort of be imbued into me and I\u2019ll be able to produce something that\u2019s the same but different and better and stronger and bolder.\u201d<\/p>\n Knight was, perhaps inevitably, asked if he knows who the next Bond will be. Here\u2019s a similarly coy response: \u201cVery, very good question and one I can\u2019t give you the answer to.\u201d<\/p>\n If Holland is the next Bond, he has a number of high profile movies to finish before becoming a spy. He\u2019s got 2026\u2019s Spider-Man: Brand New Day to film, as well as Christopher Nolan\u2019s next epic, The Odyssey. Both movies are due out July 2026.
