The Black Crowes<\/a> have announced a new album titled A Pound of Feathers. In advance of its March 13th release, the band has unleashed the singles \u201cProfane Prophecy\u201d and \u201cPharmacy Chronicles.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Pound of Feathers\u00a0is the follow-up to 2024\u2019s Happiness Bastards, marking a quick turnaround following the 14-year wait for that album.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made this record in eight to ten days,\u201d said singer Chris Robinson. \u201cBringing the high and inspiration from Happiness Bastards into this album, it was a natural progression. We experimented more, we wrote on instinct and how we were feeling in the moment. Rich brought a spontaneity to the record that I can\u2019t describe, but it\u2019s the best shit he\u2019s ever done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guitarist Rich Robinson added, \u201cThis album feels transformative to us. Going back to our roots, we felt that spark in the studio and how we work together. Lighting a fire that hits harder, more jagged but is still true to our musical essence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Black Crowes have a run of Australia and Japan dates set for this spring, followed by a UK\/European jaunt in June and July. After that, the band will support Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/a> on four North American dates in August and September (pick up tickets here<\/a>).<\/p>\n
