Colby Covington and Luke Rockhold are not fans of Bo Nickal, as the two veteran fighters trashed the aspiring middleweight contender to his face Friday night at RAF 05\u2019s pre-fight press conference.<\/p>\n
The RAF 05 event this weekend will be a star-studded affair, including the likes of Covington, Rockhold, Nickal, Arman Tsarukyan, Yoel Romero, and wrestling standout Kyle Dake. It will be an incredible night for combat sports fans, but having so many different personalities on one card has brought about some pre-fight issues.<\/p>\n
During Friday\u2019s RAF 05 press conference, Covington and Rockhold teamed up to trash Nickal, who was sitting in the front row and heard every word that was spoken. Nickal defended himself, but he stood no chance against the jabber jaws of Covington and Rockhold. It was rough to watch.<\/p>\n
\u201cListen, it\u2019s the type of bozos like this that just kill the sport of wrestling,\u201d said Covington as Nickal watched on. \u201cWe need stars. We need people who are willing to be vocal and call their shots.\u201d<\/p>\n
That\u2019s when Nickal commented from the front row that he checks off all those boxes and would welcome a matchup with Covington. \u201cChaos\u201d shot him down.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, that\u2019d be too easy, bro. You\u2019re a bum. You got broken by a Dutch kickboxer. You\u2019re a bum, dude. You\u2019re not even the main event, there\u2019s a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shortly after, Rockhold chimed in and tried to cook Nickal as well. The former UFC middleweight champion didn\u2019t hold back in his assessment of the former collegiate wrestling star.<\/p>\n
\u201dYou should be in the top-10 before you talk about a sport that built another sport. The reason that wrestling is on this stage is because of MMA. And you\u2019ve done absolutely nothing in the sport of MMA. You quit before the knee even hit you, Bo. Button it up. Button it up,\u2018 said Rockhold.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow many world championships have I won? What have you done on a world stage? Absolutely nothing. You\u2019re a college bum, Bo.
