Paddy Pimblett and Dan Hooker were supposed to be mates<\/a>, but that all went out the window on Friday when the two lightweights went after one another on social media.<\/p>\n

Back in November, Pimblett and Hooker crossed paths for the first time at UFC Qatar\u2019s ceremonial weigh ins. Instead of posturing and talking trash, the two lightweight contenders joked with one another and seemed to hit it off. Even if Hooker hates everyone ranked in front of him<\/a> the two left Qatar on good terms.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, their cordial relationship went up in flames on Friday.<\/p>\n

It all stemmed from a \u201cjoke\u201d Pimblett made about Hooker\u2019s grappling during an interview with MMA Guru<\/a> on Thursday. Pimblett, who is one of the best grapplers at 155 pounds (despite recently getting tapped out<\/a>), doesn\u2019t believe Hooker has anything to offer on the ground. Instead of just commenting on his skills \u201cBaddy\u201d went as far as saying Hooker \u201ccouldn\u2019t grapple a rap\u2014t off his mom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, that didn\u2019t sit well with Hooker. Early Friday, \u201cHangman\u201d responded by letting Pimblett know that it\u2019s \u201con site\u201d when he sees him next. For you old folks out there, that means Hooker is promising to fight Pimblett next time they run into each other. Sadly, Hooker took things one step further by brining up Pimblett\u2019s friend, Ricky, who committed suicide.<\/p>\n
