Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain<\/a> won the women\u2019s 75kg category, while Nikhat Zareen<\/a> claimed the 52kg title at the National Boxing Championships 2026 in Noida on Saturday.<\/p>\n

After defeating Imroz Khan in the semi-finals on Friday, Lovlina Borgohain produced another dominant display to win the 55kg final 5-0 against Sanamacha Chanu Thokchom at the Gautam Buddha University.<\/p>\n

Two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen won the 52kg women\u2019s category after a convincing 5-0 win over\u00a0Nitu Ghanghas<\/a>, who is also a former world champion in the 48kg weight class.<\/p>\n

World champion Minakshi Hooda secured the women’s 48kg title with a convincing 5-0 win over Manju Rani, while Olympian Pooja Rani beat Naina in the women\u2019s 80kg final by the same scoreline.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s section also saw Preeti Pawar (54kg), Pranjal Yadav (65kg), Priya (60kg) and Alfiyan Khan (80+kg) bag their first-ever senior national gold medals.<\/p>\n

In the men\u2019s draw, Jadumani Singh displayed a mix of aggression and technical superiority to win the 55kg title after brushing aside Pawan Bartwal 5-0 in the final.<\/p>\n

Jadumani Singh had also beaten Olympian Amit Panghal 5-0 in the semi-finals to qualify for the title clash.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Aditya Pratap got the better of Abhinash Jamwal to win the 65kg title, while Ankush (80kg) defeated Malsawmtluanga to bag his maiden senior national title.<\/p>\n

This was the first time that the men’s and women’s National Championships were held simultaneously at the same venue.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As many as 600 Indian boxers<\/a> from across the country competed across 10 weight categories for both men and women.<\/p>\n

All the medallists in Olympic weight categories will be called for the national camp, while only the gold and silver medallists from all the non-Olympic weight categories will be a part of the camp following the nationals.<\/p>\n
