Lock Glimpse has been present on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/nothing_phone_(3a)-13672.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nothing Phone (3a)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/nothing_phone_(3a)_pro-13649.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nothing Phone (3a) Pro<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/nothing_phone_(3a)_lite_5g-14267.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nothing Phone (3a) Lite<\/a> ever since, and it&#8217;s been quite controversial &#8211; even though you could technically stop the ads from showing up, the feature would still eat a lot of battery, according to multiple user reports.<\/p>\n<p>Today Nothing is finally giving up on its lock screen ads experiment, but with a catch. Lock Glimpse will be removed from the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, but it will remain on the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite and future CMF phones.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768090391_765_gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"Nothing removes controversial lock screen ads, but there's a catch\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re wondering why the Lite still has to deal with this, &#8220;the context is different&#8221; according to a Nothing rep, since &#8220;to deliver strong overall value at a more accessible price, certain tradeoffs apply&#8221;.
