Leo Carlsson<\/a> had a goal and an assist, and Lukas Dostal<\/a> made 27 saves for the Ducks (21-21-3), who have lost nine straight (0-8-1).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t great to start the game. We got behind, but we were in the game,\u201d Anaheim coach Joel Quenneville said. \u201cWe\u2019re down two, then it goes to three, and it looks like we had no chance. Then all of a sudden the pucks are going in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we had some good chances and the quality was probably enhanced at the end, but we didn\u2019t get enough traffic on him, we didn’t get enough greasy stuff around the net, and when we shot, he was big. We got some by him because we started going a little bit up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quinn gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead at 2:03 of the first period, taking a feed from Ryan McLeod<\/a> on a 2-on-1 and putting it high over Dostal\u2019s glove from low in the right circle. It was his first goal since Dec. 18, ending a nine-game drought.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes goal-scorers go through a little stretch like that, but it was good,” Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff said. “He\u2019s working hard, he\u2019s skating well, he\u2019s in on a good number of chances, so that\u2019s big for us.”<\/p>\n

Thompson made it 2-0 from the doorstep at 7:22. Josh Doan<\/a> started the play by stealing the puck from Tim Washe<\/a> high in the zone and giving it to Krebs, who took it to the left circle before sending it to Thompson on the far side.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s part of the game I take a lot of pride in, is getting back and forcing turnovers,\u201d Doan said. \u201cIt\u2019s one of those things where you can create a lot of offense from that, and tonight\u2019s a perfect example.
