BLACKPINK\u2019s Jennie stole the spotlight in an unexpected way at one of K-pop\u2019s biggest award nights \u2014 by winning so much that she kept being called back onstage while her bandmates were not even there.<\/p>\n

At the 40th Golden Disc Awards With Upbit, held at Taipei Dome on Jan. 10, Jennie walked to the podium three times, collecting trophies across solo, group and global categories and turning the night into what fans on social media quickly dubbed \u201cthe Jennie show.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ceremony was historic in itself, marking the awards\u2019 40th anniversary and becoming the first Korean music awards event ever held at Taipei Dome, one of Asia\u2019s largest indoor stadiums. Singer Sung Si-kyung and actor Moon Ga-young hosted the event.<\/p>\n

Jennie was first called as the winner of the Digital Song Bonsang (main prize) for her solo track \u201cLike Jennie.\u201d Visibly nervous, she said, \u201cIt has been a while since I came back to the Golden Disc Awards, and I\u2019m still shaking receiving such an award. I\u2019m especially happy to see fans again.\u201d<\/p>\n

But just as she stepped offstage, Jennie was summoned again \u2014 this time as BLACKPINK\u2019s representative. The group won another Digital Song Bonsang for \u201cRun,\u201d a hit that dominated Korean and global streaming charts in 2025.<\/p>\n

Laughing in surprise, Jennie said, \u201cEveryone, BLACKPINK won an award. Are the members watching?\u201d before waving to fans and adding, \u201cI see BLINKs here \u2014 hi!\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI\u2019m so happy this song received so much love. Jisoo, Ros\u00e9 and Lisa must be so happy too. I\u2019ll receive this on behalf of all of us today,\u201d and closed by saying, \u201c(Producer) Teddy oppa, thank you always and I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The viral moment did not end there. Jennie later returned to the stage yet again to accept the Global Impact Award, bringing her total to three trophies in a single night.<\/p>\n

BLACKPINK also earned a place on the Golden Disc Powerhouse 40 list, which honors 40 artists who have had a major influence on Korean pop music over the awards\u2019 four-decade history \u2014 a symbolic recognition of the group\u2019s role in spreading K-pop worldwide.<\/p>\n

Although Jennie attended alone, she said, \u201cEven though I\u2019m here by myself today, I feel so proud and happy. I\u2019ll continue working to become an artist who has a positive influence.\u201d<\/p>\n
