\n\tRhea Seehorn won the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV drama for her performance as Carol Sturka in \u201cPluribus\u201d on Apple TV. This is her first Globe nomination and win.<\/p>\n
\n\tSeehorn was overcome with emotion when she took the stage to accept the award. Looking at a sheet of paper, she said, \u201cMy speech says, \u2018Get a prescription for beta blockers,\u2019 but I did not. Sorry! I\u2019m going to do my best. I\u2019m sorry, I am just a little shocked!\u201d And before even beginning her speech, she gushed to one of her award presenters: \u201cQueen Latifah, I met you about 20 years ago between jobs at a Koo Koo Roo and you were so nice, so thanks!\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tSeehorn acknowledged each of her fellow nominees by name and praised their performances. \u201cActually, to all the women in this room: I\u2019ve been a lot of these parties that get pretty scary for someone like me sometimes,\u201d she added, referencing the long string of events celebrities attend during awards season. \u201cAnd the women in this room have been incredible in the last couple of weeks. Thank you for that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\n\tAt the end of her speech, after thanking \u201cPluribus\u201d creator Vince Gilligan and other collaborators, friends and family, she said, \u201cI am still so grateful that I get to do this for a living, and this is incredible icing on that cake.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tSeehorn is beloved for playing Kim Wexler in \u201cBetter Call Saul,\u201d the \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d spinoff that ran on AMC for six seasons from 2015 to 2022. The role earned her nominations for three Critics\u2019 Choice awards and two Emmys in addition to three Actor awards as part of the show\u2019s ensemble. For \u201cPluribus,\u201d she won the Critics\u2019 Choice award for best drama series actress.<\/p>\n
\n\tAlso nominated for this year\u2019s Golden Globe for best TV drama actress were Kathy Bates (\u201cMatlock\u201d), Britt Lower (\u201cSeverance\u201d), Helen Mirren (\u201cMobLand\u201d), Bella Ramsey (\u201cThe Last of Us\u201d) and Keri Russell (\u201cThe Diplomat\u201d).<\/p>\n
