Everton look set to accept the right bid from Sevilla for Nathan Patterson in January.<\/p>\n

Patterson appears likely to be leaving Everton<\/a> this winter after many seasons as a bit-part player on Merseyside.<\/p>\n

The Scot has struggled and often injury has left Patterson on the Everton sidelines<\/a> and without a regular spot in the squad.<\/p>\n

The full-back did come in from the start as Everton lost on penalties against Sunderland<\/a>, but an exit still appears to be on the horizon.<\/p>\n

There has been plenty of European interest in Patterson<\/a>, with Sevilla urged to splash out and make an offer the Toffees can\u2019t refuse.<\/p>\n

Everton to accept \u00a36m for Nathan Patterson in January<\/p>\n

Everton could agree a swap deal with Bologna for Patterson<\/a>, with various deals already on the table for the Scotland international right now.<\/p>\n

An Italian switch could be possible, while Sevilla have maintained their interest in the right-back for many years.<\/p>\n

This could spark a transfer battle surrounding the 24-year-old, with the best bid likely to be accepted by the Toffees due to his lack of game time over the years in L4.<\/p>\n

Former scout Bryan King<\/a> has suggested that a bid from elsewhere in the region of \u00a36million could be enough for David Moyes and Co. to wave Patterson goodbye this winter.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: \u201cHe doesn\u2019t have much of a future at Everton. <\/p>\n

\u201cI would think that he\u2019s the type of player who they can get a little bit of money for, not a fortune. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf he wants to play football, he\u2019s got to go somewhere else by the sound of it, so a move or a loan would be ideal for him. <\/p>\n

\u201cAny interested clubs like Sevilla have got to put their money where their mouths are. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure if the right offer comes in, and I\u2019m sure \u00a35m or \u00a36m would be more than enough for Everton to bite any club\u2019s hand off. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s not playing for Everton, so they aren\u2019t getting any use out of him, so I think his future is at another club.\u201c<\/p>\n

Patterson sale could spark Everton spend in January<\/p>\n

The Toffees have struggled in recent years to truly spend well on transfers, with their squad often feeling the strain this causes.<\/p>\n

There is limited squad depth available to Moyes right now, summed up by Patterson finally getting minutes against Sunderland and Nottingham Forest recently.<\/p>\n

Letting him go could prove to be a short-term blow to the squad, but could open doors for the Blues to make new signings before the winter market shuts.<\/p>\n

A deal could make sense for all parties, especially if Everton get a good fee for a fringe player and Patterson goes on to be a regular elsewhere.<\/p>\n
