On Tuesday, January\u202f13, a total of 15 NASCAR Cup Series drivers participated in a one-day organizational test at North\u202fWilkesboro Speedway. The session, running from 12\u202fp.m. to 5\u202fp.m. ET, will give each chartered Cup Series team an opportunity to run the new 750\u2011horsepower package on the track\u2019s historic 0.625\u2011mile oval.<\/p>\n

This marks North\u202fWilkesboro\u2019s first major on-track test with the updated short-track aero and horsepower package developed to generate more competitive racing on tracks under 1.5 miles.<\/p>\n
The test offers teams crucial data on engine output, downforce levels, tire wear, and braking performance ahead of the track\u2019s return to the Cup Series schedule on July\u202f19 for the Window\u202fWorld\u202f450, the first points-paying event at North\u202fWilkesboro in 30 years.<\/p>\n
