The French driver suffered one of the scariest crashes in Formula 1 history during the Bahrain Grand Prix in November 2020.<\/p>\n

Romain Grosjean<\/a> recently made a very emotional reunion with an object from his past.<\/p>\n

And it was something that directly helped to save his life.<\/p>\n

The French ex-Formula 1<\/a> driver was recently reunited with his melted helmet.<\/p>\n

In a post on Instagram<\/a>, Grosjean revealed that he had been reunited with his equipment.<\/p>\n

\u201cFive years after November 29, 2020, I got reunited with my race helmet,\u201d the former Haas driver said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know if I was ready to see it, but my kids really wanted to understand how I got so well protected in the fire and what did happen that night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The current IndyCar driver made a special mention of appreciation for his equipment suppliers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll forever be grateful to Bell Racing and Alpinestars for protecting me so well in that moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLife goes on, and we forget, but that reminds me how much we should make the most of our lives every day,\u201d Grosjean said in signing off.<\/p>\n

French driver faces fearsome fireball in Bahrain GP<\/p>\n
