KATSEYE<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0said\u00a0they \u201creally hope to\u201d collaborate with\u00a0Charli XCX<\/a> in the future, describing her as an \u201cinspiration\u201d.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Grammy-nominated<\/a>\u00a0Los Angeles girl group released their \u2018Beautiful Chaos<\/a>\u2019 EP last year and it included the breakout hit \u2018Gabriela\u2019, which was co-written by the \u2018Brat<\/a>\u2019 star and\u00a0scored the band the greatest chart success to date.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with\u00a0People<\/a>, they have revealed that Charli is \u201cdefinitely\u201d an artist that they would like to work more directly with moving forward, with band member Manon Bannerman saying, \u201cI just recently met her and I think we all really hope to work with her more in the future\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s\u00a0definitely a\u00a0KATSEYE girlie, and\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0in love with \u2018Brat\u2019 and everything about her,\u201d she added. \u201cShe\u2019s\u00a0such an inspiration to us. We\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0know what the future holds, but\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0definitely, definitely\u00a0super into that idea.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Last year,\u00a0NME\u00a0spoke to KATSEYE about working with Charli<\/a>, and Lara Raj said: \u201cOne thing that inspires me so much about Charli is she\u2019s so versatile. She\u2019s been around for so long. I recently went on this deep dive of all of her albums and the evolution of Charli XCX. What\u2019s so special about her, whether it\u2019s her artist project or what she\u2019s written [for other artists], you can tell that she\u2019s written it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn \u2018Gabriela\u2019, there are a lot of melodies where I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my god, she did that. It\u2019s Charli\u2019,\u201d Lara added. \u201cShe leaves this imprint on everything she does, no matter how different the songs are. I just think that\u2019s so sick. We all think that she\u2019s the sickest person in the world. Excellent artistry and insane amounts of growth, but also very much staying true to herself and what she likes, which we all really want to be like [ourselves].\u201d<\/p>\n

KATSEYE\u2019s\u00a0other\u00a0standout single from 2025, \u2018Gnarly\u2019,\u00a0was named as the fifth best song of the year by\u00a0NME<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere,\u00a0the group recently reflected on their rise to fame since winning Dream Academy in 2023<\/a>, including the dark side of success.\u00a0\u201cIf 1,000 people are, like, sending you death threats, it\u2019s jarring,\u201d Lara told the\u00a0BBC. \u201cEven if it\u2019s not\u00a0gonna\u00a0happen, and it doesn\u2019t mean anything, it\u2019s heavy, and it\u2019s jarring.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Charli, she is set to be busy in 2026, starring in the\u00a0A24\u00a0mockumentary\u00a0The Moment<\/a>, which is based around the \u2018Brat\u2019 album and tour, as well as the indie drama Erupcja<\/a>, the satirical thriller\u00a0Sacrifice, a role opposite\u00a0Natalie Portman<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0The Gallerist, and an appearance in\u00a0I Want Your Sex<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Olivia Wilde<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She will also be a part of the queer fairytale\u00a0100 Nights\u00a0Of\u00a0Hero, and will be in\u00a0Dakota Johnson<\/a>\u2019s directorial debut\u00a0A Tree In Blue<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0she has also created\u00a0the soundtrack album for\u00a0Emerald Fennell<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Wuthering Heights<\/a>, which will\u00a0be released on February 11.\u00a0She recently shared the single \u2018Chains Of\u00a0Love<\/a>\u2019 from the film, as well as \u2018House<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0which featured\u00a0The Velvet Underground<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0John Cale<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"KATSEYE\u00a0have\u00a0said\u00a0they \u201creally hope to\u201d collaborate with\u00a0Charli XCX in the future, describing her as an \u201cinspiration\u201d.
