{"id":406756,"date":"2026-01-13T16:57:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T16:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/406756\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T16:57:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T16:57:10","slug":"ci-global-asset-management-to-become-manager-of-invesco-canada-family-of-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/406756\/","title":{"rendered":"CI Global Asset Management to become manager of Invesco Canada family of funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Invesco Ltd. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/IVZ-N\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/IVZ-N\/\">IVZ-N<\/a> has signed a deal that will see CI Global Asset Management become the manager of the Invesco Canada family of retail mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Financial terms of the transaction were not immediately available.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Under the agreement, CI Investments Inc. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/CIX-T\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/stocks\/CIX-T\/\">CIX-T<\/a> will acquire the management agreements related to Invesco\u2019s Canadian fund business with combined total assets under management amounting to about $26-billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">CI will also enter into a long-term arrangement to continue to provide sub-advisory services in respect to certain funds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">The deal is subject to regulatory approvals as well as other customary closing conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">The transaction is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Invesco Ltd.
