The former UFC champion has developed into a massive fan favorite with recent wins over Jamahal Hill, Aleksandar Rakic, and Glover Teixeira.<\/p>\n<p>Prochazka\u2019s mind is arguably the biggest mystery when it comes to fight fans\u2019 evaluation of the light heavyweight standout. The way he approaches his fights is similar to a Samurai getting ready to go to war.<\/p>\n<p>Prochazka also isn\u2019t one to brag about his own accomplishments. Despite an exciting third-round knockout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjpenn.com\/mma-news\/ufc\/jiri-prochazka-explains-being-emotional-after-alex-pereiras-ufc-320-win\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">over Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 320<\/a>, his most recent fight, Prochazka isn\u2019t satisfied as he hopes to earn another title shot.<\/p>\n<p>Jiri Prochazka shoots down \u2018Comeback of the Year\u2019 accolade after UFC award announcement<\/p>\n<p>Prochazka\u2019s fight against Rountree was a back-and-forth battle for as long as the fight lasted. After Rountree landed some big blows in the early minutes, Prochazka rallied late to finish Rountree with a massive hook.<\/p>\n<p>The UFC, as part of its UFC Honors awards, rewarded Prochazka with the 2025 \u2018Comeback of the Year\u2019 for his performance at UFC 320. But Prochazka doesn\u2019t believe his win was worthy of the designation.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent post to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jiri_bjp\/status\/2011184488420938072?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">X<\/a>, Prochazka responded oddly to his new piece of UFC hardware.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAppreciate it, and one more thing, it was not a comeback,\u201d Prochazka posted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI watched that 2 days back, and here is my result. I controlled my opponent the whole fight. Even if he was successful many times with his techniques, I controlled distance, rhythm, and precision of hits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow it\u2019s time to make a step up and show it. Let\u2019s go for that!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, Prochazka\u2019s next fight hasn\u2019t been announced.
