On Monday night\u2019s edition of \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert,\u201d<\/a> Jimmy Kimmel took part in the late night series\u2019 iconic Colbert Questionert.<\/p>\n

\u201cJimmy, I\u2019ve known you for over 20 years,\u201d Colbert told Kimmel at the top of the segment. \u201cAs intimate as we have been over the years, I always feel like there\u2019s another level to know someone.\u201d The CBS host then asked the ABC star if he had the \u201ccourage\u201d to take part in the night\u2019s questionnaire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope I do,\u201d Kimmel responded. \u201cIf I have to tap out halfway, forgive me.\u201d At one point, Colbert inquired as to whether Kimmel had himself ever asked someone else for their autograph.<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked Steve Garvey, my favorite baseball player, for his autograph I was about 10 years old,\u201d Kimmel responded. When Colbert asked if he still had the ticket that Garvey signed for him, Kimmel replied, \u201cI do still have it. It\u2019s mostly faded. I hung it on the wall in my bedroom and my sister scribbled in crayon on it \u2018I love you\u2019 all over it, and it was probably the maddest I ever was at anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the segment, which taped in September<\/a> but only just aired, Kimmel additionally told the story of going to see Sammy Davis Jr. live in-person when he was growing up in Las Vegas. \u201cMy best friend Cleto, his dad was Sammy\u2019s room service butler and he got tickets to see the show,\u201d Kimmel explained. \u201cNot only did we see Sammy Davis Jr., we went and hung out in his dressing room afterwards.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was sitting on Sammy\u2019s couch and there was a big, big bowl of potato chips and I was too polite to eat any of them,\u201d Kimmel added. \u201cI was scared. I didn\u2019t know if it was okay to eat his potato chips, even though I wanted them very much. It was a fantastic concert.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later on, Colbert arrived at one of his Questionert\u2019s most difficult questions when he asked Kimmel what he thinks happens when we die. \u201cThe two of us? You are going to Heaven\u2026 I don\u2019t know where I\u2019m headed,\u201d Kimmel jokingly responded. Getting serious, the \u201cJKL!\u201d host then added, \u201cThis is something I have thought about \u2026 I feel like there is just a positive energy field you become part of. That\u2019s what I think it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

The segment ultimately concluded with Colbert asking Kimmel to describe the rest of his life in just five words, to which the latter responded, \u201cFat. Sleepy. Lazy\u2026 Slightly drunk.\u201d<\/p>\n
