Muse<\/a> have cancelled a series of forthcoming concerts \u201cdue to unforeseen circumstances\u201d.<\/p>\n

The band were due to play the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on February 4, Johannesburg in South Africa on February 7, Cape Town on February 11, and Bengaluru in India, on February 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we will be unable to proceed with the upcoming scheduled shows in India, South Africa and UAE,\u201d the band said in statement via Live Nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been a very difficult decision and one we did not take lightly. We\u2019re truly sorry to everyone who purchased tickets and appreciate your understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band embarked on a European tour last year including a show at Madrid\u2019s Mad Cool<\/a> Festival, which saw the band step in<\/a> for Kings Of Leon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NME described the show as an \u201cera-spanning, revolutionary space-tacular\u201d<\/a> with \u201cMatt Bellamy<\/a> and co easing into their new cycle with riffs and revolution\u201d.<\/p>\n

The band are currently working on their 10th studio album having released their ninth and latest full-length record, \u2018Will Of The People\u2019<\/a>, in 2022.<\/p>\n

They shared the first taster from the new record with \u2018Unravelling<\/a>\u2019 last year. But no further music has surfaced from their forthcoming album yet.<\/p>\n

Last February, bassist Chris Wolstenholme talked about the future of Muse, and suggested that the trio were thinking about a new album<\/a> \u2013 which could be arriving this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019re gonna start work on the next record fairly soon,\u201d he said, explaining that the group weren\u2019t signed to a label at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think for the last few albums we\u2019ve been with Warner and we\u2019ve extended after each album,\u201d the musician continued. \u201cWe may do the same again; we may go with a new label, who knows.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
