Darksiders 4<\/a> ain\u2019t a bad alternative, though \u2013 especially as this game will pick up where the original left off.<\/p>\n

We enjoyed all of the games in the series, but we must admit the PS3 original was our favourite, as it offered a legitimate alternative to Zelda<\/a>. You don\u2019t see that often.<\/p>\n

With Nintendo\u2019s elfish icon now in a different era, we\u2019re actually oddly nostalgic from that classic style of Zelda gameplay, with dungeons and exploration.<\/p>\n

Can Darksiders 4 plug the gap? Well, here\u2019s what the blurb says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe legendary saga of the Four Horsemen continues in Darksiders 4, an all-new action-adventure set in an apocalyptic version of earth and continues where the original Darksiders game left off. Darksiders 4 is a third-person action adventure game featuring combat, traversal, and puzzle solving in a lore rich post-apocalyptic world.\u201d<\/p>\n

That sounds like Zelda to us!<\/p>\n

Interestingly, you\u2019ll pick between one of the four legendary horsemen, and each will have their own arsenal and playstyle.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s not much more information to pull from, but dev Gunfire Games adds you\u2019ll \u201cjourney through apocalyptic landscapes, each teeming with secrets, enemies, and mythic bosses\u201d.<\/p>\n

No release date has been announced, but expect wishlisting to begin on the PS Store<\/a> imminently. We\u2019re in!<\/p>\n
