(KESQ) &#8212; A pair of local fighters are set to take the ring this Friday for the first boxing event at <a href=\"https:\/\/acrisurearena.com\/event\/golden-boy-boxing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Acrisure Arena<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldenboy.com\/events\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Golden Boy Promotions presents Rocha vs Curiel | Flores vs Chavez<\/a>. This is Golden Boy&#8217;s first event of the 2026 fight calendar and will feature nine bouts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/260116_Golden-Boy-Boxing_1920x1080-1024x576-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1774930\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Coachella native Manuel &#8220;Gucci Manny&#8221; Flores will co-headline the card against Jorge &#8220;El Nino Dorado&#8221; Chavez in a <a href=\"https:\/\/kesq.com\/news\/2025\/07\/24\/flores-chavez-main-event-ends-in-majority-draw-three-other-local-fighters-earn-wins\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rematch from their controversial draw in July<\/a> at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.<\/p>\n<p>This super bantamweight bout between Flores and Chavez will be 10 rounds.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old Flores is 20-1-1 (16 KO), while the 25-year-old Chavez is 14-0-1 (8 KO).<\/p>\n<p>Rising star Cayden Griffiths is the other local fighter on this Friday&#8217;s card.<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old welterweight is 6-0 in his professional career, all wins coming via knockout.<\/p>\n<p>Both fighters are trained by Diaz Training Camp in Indio.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Two local fighters, Manny &#8220;Gucci&#8221; Flores and Cayden Griffiths, are ready for their fight this Friday, the first boxing event of its kind at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AcrisureArena?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@AcrisureArena<\/a>.
