{"id":410393,"date":"2026-01-15T07:10:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T07:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/410393\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T07:10:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T07:10:08","slug":"original-star-wars-characters-coming-to-disneyland-in-expansion-of-galaxys-edge-timeline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/410393\/","title":{"rendered":"Original &#8216;Star Wars&#8217; Characters Coming To Disneyland In Expansion Of Galaxy&#8217;s Edge Timeline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLuke Skywalker, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/darth-vader\/\" id=\"auto-tag_darth-vader\" data-tag=\"darth-vader\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Darth Vader<\/a> and some of the other early <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/star-wars\/\" id=\"auto-tag_star-wars\" data-tag=\"star-wars\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Star Wars<\/a> characters will soon be roaming around the Galaxy\u2019s Edge area at <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/disneyland\/\" id=\"auto-tag_disneyland\" data-tag=\"disneyland\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Disneyland<\/a> that is dedicated to the franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCharacters from the original Star Wars movies released between 1977 and 1983 will join those from different eras starting on April 29, Disney confirmed Wednesday in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/disneyparksblog.com\/dlr\/star-wars-galaxys-edge-timeline-expands-at-disneyland\/\" target=\"_blank\">a blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAlong with Luke, Vader, Han Solo and Princess Leia on site, the simulacrum of the movies\u2019 Outer Rim outpost of Batuu will also feature the iconic original musical scores composed by John Williams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe expanded timeline showcased at Galaxy\u2019s Edge will include the Galactic Civil War and New Republic, as well as the Age of the Resistance and First Order.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cEach era will be brought to life with the same care and attention to detail that the land was originally designed with, masterfully weaving together stories from across time and space in one location,\u201d the blog post said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGalaxy\u2019s Edge, whose features include a life-size replica of the Millennium Falcon, opened in 2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe move to leverage nearly half-century-old IP comes at an important moment for the Star Wars franchise and for Disney as a company. The Mandalorian and Grogu, a feature based on the popular Disney+ series, will be hit theaters on May 22.
