That move could take them out of the running for Bichette.<\/p>\n Blue Jays Would Be Making the Right Choice to Sign Tucker Over Bichette<\/p>\n At the end of the day, Tucker is the better player. He is one of the best pure hitters in baseball and would boost Toronto\u2019s World Series chances much more than the team re-signing Bichette.<\/p>\n Last season with the Chicago Cubs<\/a>, Tucker dealt with some injury problems and had a down year. He played in 136 games and hit 22 home runs to go along with 73 RBI and a slash line of .266\/.377\/.464.<\/p>\n When healthy, those numbers would look much different.<\/p>\n Should the Blue Jays miss out on Tucker, which is possible due to the Dodgers and New York Mets<\/a> both having high levels of interest in him, circling back around to Bichette would be wise. However, the team is making the right decision by prioritizing Tucker.<\/p>\n Only time will tell whether or not Toronto is able to get a deal done with Tucker.
