NASCAR legend Tony Stewart is returning to Daytona. The Hall of Famer is set to compete in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 13 in the season opener.<\/p>\n
Stewart<\/a> is driving for Kaulig Racing, which is partnering with RAM to field five Truck Series entries this season, according to NASCAR.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kaulig will have three full-time drivers for 2026, with another driver being the winner of the \u201cRace for the Seat\u201d reality TV series. The additional driver will be a rotation of free-agent drivers. Tony Stewart will serve as the first free-agent driver in the season opener next month.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve raced just about everything with four wheels at Daytona, but never a truck. So when a seat in the new Ram was offered up for their first race back in NASCAR, I didn\u2019t hesitate,\u201d Tony Stewart said in a release. \u201cRam\u2019s Free Agent program is another great way for me to stay sharp and have a little fun.\u201d<\/p>\n The 54-year-old Stewart has won three NASCAR Cup Series championships. However, he has not competed in a NASCAR national series race since 2016.<\/p>\n Stewart has made six starts in the Truck Series, according to NASCAR.com<\/a>, but has not competed since 2005.
