OTTAWA \u2013 The Ottawa Redblacks signed veteran American receiver Eugene Lewis to a contract extension Thursday that keeps him with the CFL club through the 2027 season.<\/p>\n

Lewis, 32, was entering the final year of his deal before signing the extension.<\/p>\n

He had 75 catches for 1,012 yards and six touchdowns last season, his first with Ottawa. He cracked the 1,000-yard plateau for the second straight year and fourth time in his eight-year CFL career.<\/p>\n

Lewis has appeared in 116 career regular-season games with Ottawa (2025), Edmonton (2023-24) and Montreal (2017-19, 2021-22). He has recorded 473 catches for 7,273 yards and 47 TDs.<\/p>\n

He was the East Division\u2019s outstanding player in 2022 and has been named a league-all-star three times (2021, \u201922, \u201924).<\/p>\n
