However, the long-awaited showdown fell apart when McGregor withdrew <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/2024\/6\/21\/24183367\/conor-mcgregor-posts-x-ray-broken-pinky-toe-mercilessly-mocked-by-fans-and-fellow-ufc-fighters-mma\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">due to a broken pinky toe<\/a>, once again derailing his comeback.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">That said, White has been known to change course \u2014 or deliberately throw people off \u2014 especially when McGregor is involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">As for \u201cThe Notorious,\u201d the UFC\u2019s biggest star has not competed since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/2021\/7\/11\/22571635\/ufc-264-full-fight-video-highlights-mcgregor-poirier-results-broken-leg-espn-ppv-mma\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">suffering a gruesome leg break<\/a> against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 back in 2021.
