Manitobans will be able to book appointments at participating clinics provincewide online through\u00a0MediNav<\/a>, which launched in 2025.<\/p>\n\u201cWe eliminated the backlog of health card wait times, and now we\u2019re making the process even faster,\u201d said Asagwara in a news release. \u201cFor Manitobans who are already registered, the digital health card will be available right away. No waiting, no delays. This is about making health care more accessible and responsive for families across the province.\u201d<\/p>\n
By carrying the digital health card, Manitobans will have secure access to their information and can present it when receiving care. When they sign up, there is the option to have a digital card, a plastic card, or both. Those currently with a paper card can request a digital card at any time,\u00a0the ministers noted.<\/p>\n
The change will support patient safety\u00a0legislation and create a more efficient patient experience and give Manitobans greater confidence and autonomy in navigating the health system, Kinew noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe MB Wallet app makes health care more mobile. It is convenient, secure and easy to use,\u201d said Moroz in a news release. \u201cBy offering this service, Manitoba is putting families at the forefront of modern, accessible health care.\u201d<\/p>\n
Manitobans can download the MB Wallet free of charge from the\u00a0Apple App Store and Google Play. The app allows access to digital credentials while offline. To protect privacy, users remain in control of when to use their credentials and what information they choose to share.<\/p>\n
