{"id":412756,"date":"2026-01-16T08:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T08:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/412756\/"},"modified":"2026-01-16T08:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T08:42:08","slug":"police-investigating-homicide-at-abbotsford-hotel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/412756\/","title":{"rendered":"Police investigating homicide at Abbotsford hotel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Abbotsford Police Department says it is investigating a homicide at a hotel Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were called to the hotel on Marshall Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. after a report of a \u201csuspicious circumstance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon arrival, officers secured the scene and confirmed the incident was contained to a room within the hotel,\u201d Sgt. Paul Walker said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurther evidence was quickly obtained, confirming the incident as a homicide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walker says the incident was isolated with no risk to the public.
