Both fighters have stoked the fire since then in an attempt to make one of the most intriguing fights available to UFC, but things having materialized for more than one reason. None more glaring than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/2025\/7\/20\/24470829\/denied-dana-white-rejects-jon-jones-fighting-at-ufc-white-house-cant-risk-putting-him-in-a-big-spot\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lack of trust White has for Jones<\/a> after the way he handled the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/latest-news\/404625\/jon-jones-admits-to-turning-down-30-million-tom-aspinall-offer-my-goals-are-different\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Aspinall situation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">On Friday, White sat down for an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gt7GEetDphE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Complex<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gt7GEetDphE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>to discuss a multitude of topics (including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-news\/414960\/dana-white-wont-let-conor-mcgregor-fight-michael-chandler-ufc-white-house\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/upcoming-ufc-events\/414974\/dana-white-message-crybabies-whining-volkanovski-lopes-rematch-ufc-325-dont-watch-it\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UFC 325\u2019s backlash<\/a>). One of the things White touched on was a potential matchup between Jones and Pereira at the UFC White House card. White didn\u2019t have a ton to say, but he left the door open just enough for fight fans to still have hope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cAt 205? That would be a fight,\u201d said White. \u201cBut can I count on Jon Jones?
