While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you\u2019re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we\u2019ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for Oktagon 82 from D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany for our regional MMA pick.<\/p>\n

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Oktagon 82
\nOktagon Middleweight Fight: Kerim Engizek vs Krzysztof Jotko<\/a><\/p>\n

Card Start Time: Saturday (1\/17), 12:00pm EST (Oktagon.tv)<\/p>\n

Oktagon\u2019s first card of the year brings us to Germany. Topping the card is the finals of the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament. The current middleweight champ, Kerim Engizek, looks to put more hardware on the mantle. Standing in his way is former UFC contender Krzysztof Jotko. While this is a hotly contended bout, it\u2019s one that I think had some of the best value on the whole card.<\/p>\n

The books seem to be weighing the UFC past of Jotko. While he has flew through the tournament fairly easily, he has never been known as someone who does a lot of damage. He relies on heavy control and a lot of pace to win, which is evident by his 19 career decision wins.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t imagine that style will work against Engizek, who has a lot of the right tools to handle that approach. Firsty, he has solid wrestling in his own right, which should keep him on the feet. Secondly, the damage he does \u2013 in conjunction with his cardio \u2013 should make it hard for Jotko to win rounds.<\/p>\n

Getting Engizek at pick\u2019em prices for this one seems too good to be true.<\/p>\n
