The public battle between Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle has taken a new turn following the release of a chat where the singer reportedly threatened to imprison the girl\u2019s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, for persistent \u201charassment.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
While the now-viral screen recording appears to show the singer\u2019s verified handle, Davido has neither confirmed nor denied the authenticity of the chat as of the time of filing this report.\n<\/p>\n
The chat posted late Thursday on Anuolwapo\u2019s Instagram page, co-managed by her mother, Ayo Labinjoh, captures a tense exchange in which the \u201cUnavailable\u201d singer reportedly doubled down on his denial of paternity.\n<\/p>\n
Recall that the controversy was reignited by a public plea from Anuoluwapo<\/a>, who claimed she had suffered \u201cmental anguish\u201d and bullying due to the disputed parentage, and publicly reached out to Davido for a fresh DNA test to establish her identity, noting that she had sent him a direct message.<\/p>\n Davido, in a series of responses on Instagram and X, also rejected her appeal, insisting that he never met her mom and that five DNA tests had proven negative.\n<\/p>\n He added that his father forced him to go for the previous tests, saying, \u201cAdeleke\u2019s, we don\u2019t play about blood on this side!\u201d\n<\/p>\n In the leaked chat,<\/a> the singer reportedly warned, \u201cStop this nonsense. Keep playing, and I will arrest your mother. Try this nonsense again. I\u2019m not your father.\u201d<\/p>\n When the 12-year-old clarified that her mother was not involved in her personal appeal, Davido doubled down, claiming a history of negative medical results.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI am not your father. Go and find your father. This is the last time. I\u2019m warning. I have done 5 DNA tests. You\u2019re not mine. Please stop this nonsense before it gets messy,\u201d he reportedly warned.\n<\/p>\n During the exchange, Anuoluwapo asked the singer to produce the results of the five tests he cited.\n<\/p>\n The singer reportedly responded, \u201cYes, I will show you, 5. Two of the hospitals were chosen by your mother. Two were chosen by me. All negative. 4 tests. Then 1 test 10 years. That\u2019s 5. You\u2019re not my child.\u201d\n<\/p>\n He expressed frustration over the impact of the claims on his family, stating, \u201cYou guys have been harassing me for years, and it has to stop. She will go to jail.\u201d\n<\/p>\n When Anuoluwapo requested the names of the hospitals where these tests were allegedly conducted, Davido reportedly declined to list them directly, stating, \u201cIt will show in the tests.
